Petzl invented the first headlamp in 1972 where attaching a battery case and a lamp to a headband was an innovative idea. This meant that hands could be free and activities could be carried out, all thanks to a beam of light that shone in the direction the wearer was looking.
Ever since, the headlamp has evolved and become a big factor in safety and efficiency. Today, Petzl has a great range of headlamps to respond to the demands of all different situations, from caving and mountaineering to reading in the hut.
We have put together this page to help you choose the best headlamp to suit your needs.
