Inner and Outer Fabrics

A lightweight fabric that is windproof and water repellent. Paratex Light is breathable and will wick moisture away from the body for a comfortable nights sleep. This fabric is ideal for sleeping bag liners.

Paratex Dry is a waterproof outer fabric with a polyurethane coating. This provides a hydrostatic head of over 5000mm so would keep you dry no matter what the weather threw at you.

This ripstop fabric has a Hydrophillic head which not only repells water from the outside but also removes water from the inside to the outer fabric thanks to a temperature difference between the inside and the outside.

Snugpak Paratex Micro is a tough yet lightweight outer fabric which is windproof and water repellent. This closely constructed fabric is heavy duty and extremely hard wearing.

The Snugpak Paratex Steelplate is the top of the range fabric used by Snugpak. This fabric is incredibly breathable with superb wicking properties and is windproof and has a water repellent coating too.

The Snugpak Supersoft is a silky, smooth inner fabric that is super soft to the touch. This specially woven liner fabric is breathable and will wick perspiration away quickly for comfortable sleeping.

Snugpak Reflectatherm is a ‘Space Age’ heat reflecting, metallic material which is designed to retain warmth in the sleeping bag by reflecting it back in. Reflectatherm remains breathable and can’t be detected through touch. Snugpak has designed Reflectatherm by adding metallic dots to the inner fabric which still allows air to circulate but will trap a certain amount of heat by reflecting it back to the body.

This outer fabric has been added to the Travelpak range which is aimed at travellers. The Paratex Antibacterial is a treatment which has been applied to the inner and outer lining to prevent bacteria growth. The antibacterial lining prevents odours arising which is especially important in warmer climates where bacteria may thrive. Snugpak Paratex Antibacterial remains breathable and allows moisture to wick away from the body as usual.

TS1 or Thermal Suede is a light polyester with a suede finish constructed from different thicknesses of yarns to produce a short pile. This construction uses the theory that water will move from a low to a high surface and therefore will move water or moisture away from the body to the outside of the bag. Micro Diamond is the outer fabric of all Travelpak sleeping bags. This ripstop fabric ensures a water repellent and lightweight casing and also provides a lustre look and feel to the bag.

Insulation

The Snugpak Softie Insulation is the brand name for the Polyester synthetic insulation used in the Softie sleeping bag range. This superfine yarn has been bound with resin to ensure a luxurious feel similar to down. Snugpak put the polyester yarns through various processes to give it a random effect which resembled the structure of more natural insulators. This sleeping bag filling allows heat to be retained even when wet and provides the super soft and snug feeling that Snugpak is renowned for.

The Snugpak Softie Premier is a very similar in properties to the original Snugpak Softie, however this new technology has improved the binding resins to produce a softer, finer and durable insulation. The Softie Premier filling sill retains heat when wet, is washable and has a high loft despite super fine filaments.

Snugpak Travelsoft is the filling for all Travelpak sleeping bags. This insulation is incredibly lightweight, with a highloft and super fine yarns which allows them to be easily compressed for a compact bag. The Travelsoft insulation will retain warmth even when wet and is easily washable after your trip.

The Snugpak Isofibre is a synthetic fibre insulation added to the Snugpak sleeper range. The Isofibre is a silicon fibre with a hollow centre which allows warm air to be trapped between the fibres for ultimate warmth. The hollow centre of the fibre can be easily compressed for packing but will also spring back to its original loft.
