I bought these to use with my berghaus walking shoes...

I bought these to use with my berghaus walking shoes and have found them to be an excellent purchase. The design is superb resulting in a very functional and lightweight gaiter. The material although lightweight seems to be high quality, highly water resistant and durable. I had looked at other quite similar gaiters which rely on shockcord for the underfoot strap but these knock spots off such rivals as the underfoot strap is made from tough material just like normal gaiters. The difference being they are attached by substantial velcro pads rather than the more conventional buckle, obviously this further saves weight and I have found this system to work brilliantly. The design also makes for a very snug, yet highly adjustable fit on either boots, walking or trail shoes. Another good feature is the velcro strap which slip under your laces to secure the gaiter at the front. I have found the gaiter to be very secure once fitted and they do a great job of keeping your trouser bottoms and socks dry on wet/soggy walks. This also means the inside of your shoe stays dry and dirt/gravel free. The elasticated bottom just does not budge once the gaiters are on, no problems with the gaiter riding up at the back or suchlike. Superb!
