Info on the Coleman Phad X3 Tent

The Phad X3 camping Tent is a three man tent with large dimensions. This Coleman tent has a semi-geodesic shape which provides strength even in poor conditions. The Phad X3 is a lightweight tent so suitable as a backpacking tent or hiking tent. It provides a large sleeping area and a storage space for keeping muddy boots or rucksacks away from your sleeping gear. The Phad has a window and an integrated groundsheet that can be zipped on or off for easy cleaning.

I love my new tent

I love my new tent. Until now there was no chance to test it under real conditions, but I was very pleased when I pitched it up at home. I would recommend this to everybody, because my first tent had a small manufacturing damage, but the next day came a courier and exchanged it for free. The Phad X3 is a huge tent with lots of space for three persons and enough room for the baggage in the apsis, but I think a person longer than 180cm cannot fit in there lengthways. All in all I would definitely recommend this tent to my friends.

Some of the designs on this tent can be found...

Some of the designs on this tent can be found other far more expensive tents from other manufacturers, like the adjustable ventilation at the sides and front and the pocket to store the inner tent door, plus adjustable venting at the bottom. I would say the groundsheet feels a little thin and I wish Coleman would make a footprint for it. I have used it about 4 times now and will be using it again next week in Lynmouth. Overall I'm very happy with the tent, as condensation is kept to a minimum and much better than my North Face tadpole.

After looking at a number of tents which are suitable...

After looking at a number of tents which are suitable for expeditions for the duke of Edinbugh award we have found this tent to be the best in terms of value and quality and suitability for the task. I shall use mine for the next world Scout Jamboree in Sweden inSummer 2011
