The mens Merrell Chameleon3 is an all terrain walking shoe that uses a Goretex lining to keep feet not only dry from rain or stream crossing but also wicks away moisture created by your feet allowing them to breathe which is especially important in warmer weathers and in blister management. The Merrell mens Chameleon3 has some fantastic, technical features to make it a great trekking and hiking shoe such as a moulded instep stability arm which provides more control when ascending or descending and a bellow tongue keeps out scree. The Merrel Chameleon3 Ventilator has been constructed from suede leather and mesh for breathability as well as durability which is essential when moving fast over stones and rocks. Toe bumpers further improve durability and prolong the life of your shoe by protecting against scuffs and scrapes. As with many on Merrell's trekking shoes and boots the Chameleon comes as standard with an Ortholite Anatomical Footbed to provide cushioning, comfort and support and this along with the lining that is treated with Aegis Antimicrobial solution helps prevent foot odour.
This mens Merrell Chameleon 3 uses an In-Board Compression Moulded EVA footframe that provides cushioning support as your foot moves from heel to toe and a Grade 2 Nylon Insole works with this to absorb impact for trail hiking. This essentially reduces that achey foot feeling you may have experienced after a long day on your feet and protects the foot from damage. Merrell have added their own Air Cushion in the heel to absorb shock and improve stability. Merrell have worked with Vibram to provide the Chameleon3 with a unique sole that adds stability on various terrains. A 4mm lug depth on the sole helps with grip but prevents mud building up and adding extra weight.
