The mens Merrell Moab walking shoe is a great entry level hiking shoe for hot weather as it incorporates breathable mesh into a Dura leather upper making it perfect for keeping your feet cool. Despite this open-window venting your feet are protected by bumpers on the toe and heel that also make the mens Moab Ventilator durable against scrapes and scuffs. The Merrell Moab Ventilator is packed with some great features such as a bellow tongue to keep out scree, a heel counter to keep your heel firmly cupped and a lining treated with Aegis Antimicrobial solution to keep the foot odour free. This Merrell mens walking shoe has been built round an active last, designed for mens feet with a shorter toe box and more width round the ball of the foot. A nylon shank provides stability along with a EVA footframe that also provides cushioning and comfort on your hikes. An air cushion in the heel absorbs shock and the exclusive Vibram sole adds further stability and grip on a wide range of rough terrain. The Vibram TC5+ rubber is resistant to extreme temperature conditions so won't soften in the heat. Four traction zones in the front part of the sole, an undercut heel and 5mm high lugs increase grip, breaking and stability. In addition, a thermoformed EVA wedge and an anti-shock rubber tip further increase the comfort level and thermal insulation of the sole.
