This durable womens walking shoe from Merrell is a nubuck leather shoe with a classic look and is combined with mesh to allow for great breathability in warmer weather. The Womens Siren Sport is suitable for general walking and trails or even just wearing around town. This doesn't mean Merrell have skimped on technology; the Siren Sport is packed full of great features such as toe and heel bumpers for durability, a bellows tongue to keep out debris and Omni-Fit adjustable lacing for a great fit.
The ladies Siren Sport has a QForm Comfort midsole which is specifically designed for women. Women have a different stride pattern to men which often causes discomfort and an uneven wear on the sole. This can be corrected with QForm and when combined with the Merrell air cushion in the heel it works as a system to direct the stride into a more fluid and balanced process to provide extended comfort and stability. The Midsole also includes a nylon arch shank to protect the arch and this is all finished off with the Vibram Mermaid Sole. This Vibram sole is exclusive to Merrell shoes and is composed of two levels of tread; the bottom determines the foot's roll and features Vibram TC5+ rubber treads with differing profiles depending on the area of the shoe. The top layer has a series of side stripes to allow for uphill power and downhill precision and little spikes provide stability when striking the ground. This is completed using a EVA wedge for cushioning. The Mermaid sole has 5mm lugs which makes it suitable for use on various terrains along with light hiking, trails, walking and biking.
