Overrated stove
Overrated stove. Can't see why it's getting so many rave reviews. As soon as there is a little wind, efficiency goes down the dark cellar. The windshield keeps the flame from going out but does not keep the heat.
Huge flames shoot out of the burner console while cooking. Very unsafe, must be placed on a heat resistant surface. In-tent cooking is out of the question.
The Mini is not worthy of the Trangia name. Get the 27 series instead, which is a great stove - in the field the extra weight and size will be offset by much better fuel efficiency and safer/nicer handling. If you already bought this one, know that the saucepan will fit nicely in the 1-liter pans of the 27 series.
Avoid unless you are going to cook only in a sheltered location or know how to make a good windshield.
