Berghaus Freeflow Pro 50 Rucksack - Jet Black

Berghaus Freeflow Pro 50 Rucksack - Jet Black

The Berghaus Freeflow Pro 50 rucksack is a 50 litre rucksack with some fantastic new features. This Berghaus Freeflow has replaced the IV 50 rucksack and now has a new back system built around a T6 aluminium frame which makes it a lightweight backpack as well as providing a very precise gap between your back for improved airflow. A lower profile gap also makes the rucksack more stable and easier to pack but despite this gap your Berghaus rucksack will actually sit a little closer which provides a better weigh distribution. A revolve hip belt provides further stability whilst allowing you to move more freely and the Berghaus EVAbreathe foam straps provide additional comfort. The mens Freeflow Pro 50 rucksack is suitable for biking, climbing, backpacking, and of course hiking. A fantastic lightweight rucksack with some brilliant features.

I haven

I haven't used the backpack in the field yet, but wearing it on my bike in the city it's comfortable and well built. The straps around the waist and shoulders are a little thin. The separate water bag space doesn't look useful if you're not planning on using it. The back system is nice and the backpack wears comfortably.

I bought this pack because I was seduced by the high tech look and freeflow back system. The first thing I noticed is how tricky it is to get into all the different parts of the pack, especially the bottom compartment, I put his down to not having filled the whole 50 litres, when I did the real issue started. The shouler straps are narrow and lacking in padding and this is made worse by the fact that the hip belt is so flimsy it wont hold the weight of the fully laden pack, so all the weight ends up on your shoulders, added to this, the weight is all shifted away from your back which makes it really unstable and uncomfortable. After 3 days of use I was truly glad to be rid of it.
