The Flash is a brand new addition to the Jetboil range and hopes to add more enjoyment to outdoor adventures. The Flash Personal Cooking System is an all in one design which combines a burner and pot all in one unit. It's lightweight and compact making it perfect for solo camping trips, backpacking and activities like fishing. Simply light the burner using the click button igniter and this will heat the contents of your one litre Flash cup within two minutes. It's so versatile; heat up tea, cocoa, coffee or any freeze dried meal quickly and safely. The cooking cup clips into the burner to prevent accidental spills and a tripod fuel canister provides overall stability. The igniter is protected from accidently lighting if travelling along a bumpy road. The Flash cup has an insulating cozy which not only keeps drinks and food warm but has a a colour changing heat indicator that signals when contents are hot.

I have the black version of this with the plastic...

I have the black version of this with the plastic tripod support. I am very pleased with it, as it is very stable and boils quickly. A great product and packs away nicely.

The best quickest easiest light weight cooker system I have ever used now using almost every weekend and often during the week instead of paying the high service station cost of Coffee and snacks.

had loads of fast hot brews

had loads of fast hot brews. boils in 2 mins easy ! or boil water bung in packet of spiced couscous or super noodles stir lid on stand a few mins hot grub job done ! how quick and easy can it be ?

I used this while camping as a quick way of...

I used this while camping as a quick way of making cups of tea - just as quick as the kettle at home. Boils enough water for 2 large cups of tea. Also used to heat tinned food at the top of Scafell PIke on a wet windy day and it worked fine. Fast and very easy to use. Recommended.

First saw this product used by a colleague on an DofE expedition. The new version is even better. The students may struggle with gas burners to make their morning brew, but I am now jet boiling it up. Effective design and very practical. Very happy with the purchase.

I was not sure if it came with the gas...

I was not sure if it came with the gas tripod stand (fold-able) or the attachment that lets you put a pan or billy can on burner. it did but more info in ad would be good

A great stove which should do everything we ask of...

A great stove which should do everything we ask of it, especially when we do our biking tour of France this Summer. I'd done my homework before I purchased, looking at many reviews and I now know I made the right choice - It's lightweight, very compact, portable, efficient and very quick. Job done!

Superb piece of kit

Superb piece of kit, brings out my inner design nerd. New turner on/off is much safer than old one as it snaps out from underneath to provide a longer switch, meaning your fingers no longer get doused in boiling water. Colour change when water boils is a good flourish.

Haven't tested it in wind yet, but boils very quickly inside. The igniter ocassionally slides into the case and takes a few tries to light the gas. Smaller and lighter than Reactor, so good as an emergency stove to have with you to melt snow.

Superb piece of equipment

Superb piece of equipment, essential for people who need to boil water rapidly while away from any facilities. Don't let the pictures fool you,when this is packed up it is a surprisingly compact unit and even has room to hold a c100 gas cartridge in its package.

It does what it is designed to do

It does what it is designed to do - boil water, quickly. A quality piece of kit which is compact to carry thanks to the fact that the burner, tripod and even gas bottle (if you use the right size) pack into the 1l cup. Just like they claim - two cups of water in 2 minutes! I will definitely be including this on future trips.

Great bit of kit, the new Flash Jacket lets you know when the water is boiling without having to stick your finger in! and the stability base is a great add on that comes as standard. No more knocking it over!

Works a treat

Works a treat. Not as light or as your average cannister top stove but compact and reasonably light all the same. It is remarkably stable considering the height. It does work better when boiling purely liquids. If you do want to heat food in it, don't turn your back on it for a second and keep stirring. Excellent product and is now part of my essentials for my rucksack.
