The Mountain Thermal Blanket from Lifesystems is a lightweight, compact silver blanket which, when wrapped around the body, reflects over 80% of radiated body heat to provide personal protection in the event of an accident or trauma, or from a cold situation.

Lifesystems carries a range of mountain survival products, tested and used by mountain rescue services. If an accident happens or if you get lost, it is vital to try and find a sheltered spot, stay warm and do everything possible to help rescuers find you.

Used this for cold weather camping

Used this for cold weather camping. Just wrap around your sleeping bag. A tad noisy when you move, but keeps you very very warm all night long/

Nice compact blanket

Nice compact blanket, Ideal for Day trips cycling or walking. Big enough to cover me completely! I'm only 5'. Not used yet and hope not too, but essential kit for high mountain rides. Great price compared with others

Can't comment to much on this as it was bought as a survival aid which I hope I don't need to use, but having said that it is a good size and the price is okay. Could buy cheaper elsewhere, but the postage costs blow away any savings on a cheap item like this.

Pleasantly surprised by compactness

Pleasantly surprised by compactness. I was expecting most of the black cardboard packaging to be filled with the blanket, but the plastic bag containing the foil blanket is only about half the height. More covered in an emergency and yet more space saved.
