Trangia 27-2UL Cooker with Kettle. This storm-proof, spirit burning, aluminium stove is ideal for 1-2 people and the pans and kettle are smaller than the 25 series to reflect this. The Trangia is a light and reliable camping stove for the outdoors, in all weathers. This camping stove includes two windshields that fit together, a burner, a couple of pans, a combined lid/frypan, kettle and a handle. It is lightweight, needs no special care and is hardwearing. The Trangia stove is reliable, without unnecessary parts that can go wrong or be adversely affected by cold. The stove is quick to set up, and packs into a compact unit that takes up minimal space.

The silent burner has a simple, durable and safe design. Regardless of the weather, wind and season, it is easy to light. The spirit burner takes up little space and weighs less than a gas burner. The simmer ring is used to regulate the heat, which saves fuel, and is used to extinguish the flame. In severe cold, a winter attachment can be useful. A pre-heater is placed under the burner, filled with fuel and lit to warm up the burner. The accompanying, reflective plate is used as a base. The Trangia stove can also run on bottled gas. The Trangia range of accessories includes a gas burner and a multifuel burner.

Well designed set

Well designed set, packs away very neatly. A little smaller than I expected ie kettle size. Would like to compare to the 25-2 set.

I am truly amazed with my Trangia 27

I am truly amazed with my Trangia 27-01 UL cooker. I have always used a gas burner but now I will always take my Trangia. It works so well in the wind and It uses far less fuel than the book says. It is so cheap to run and the build quality is the best. its so well made. It really is perfectly put together. I am very happy.

I have used one of these for several years

I have used one of these for several years. It is a reliable piece of kit but beware that the spirit burner does not put out a huge amount of heat. This makes it impractical to cook meals that need a high temperature, a large amount of heating or several separate pans full of food to be hot at the same time. Beware finally that the pans are non stick: rugged but sometimes difficult to clean and work with.
