Strong and light
These tick all the boxes. I got them because I have a poorly knee and have just started walking after weeks with a cast. I took them to the Lake District where a lot of people are using trekking poles. These are must lighter and have some kind of a spring inside so they absorb shock. Where I live is fairly flat and I usually run but now I’ll be Nordic Walking. It’s like x country skiing . Sounds ridiculous but actually it’s really good fun and you go fast. Very fluid. I use the poles together to go up or down steep slopes the same as for skis . Versatile and strong with different ends for snow ,rocky paths or tarmac. I’ve caught myself from falling with them and they are tough. The length lock is the more expensive clip lock which is quick to alter . They go fairly short for travel. I wanted something stronger so I didn’t go for the 4 section or carbon fibre type. These are a stronger lighter type of aluminium so better than the most budgetful ones . For a mid range multi use pole these are the ticket. I was going to stop using them when I regained my strength but it’s so much fun I’ll be using them a lot
