Salomon Out Path Pro GTX Boot - Sneak Peek

Sneak peek of the brand new Salomon Out Path Pro GTX Boot - an innovative new approach to the walking boot. Available from September.

FEATURES

The Out Path Pro GTX Boot is Salomon’s latest endeavour to achieve an ultralight hiking boot and it’s a bit of a game changer. The boot stands apart from its rivals with its unusual looks, resembling more of a scuba boot than footwear you’d take for a walk in the hills – but don’t let that put you off.

Always a leader in cutting edge designs and not afraid to try things differently, Salomon have attempted here to design a shoe for all occasions. Their new and unusual creation aims to pair the lightness of a trail shoe with the protection and support of a sturdier boot, and at only 337 grams that’s no mean feat. But thanks to its state of the art design, this bulk-free boot offers great stability while hiking on uneven ground.

Like a running shoe with a built-in, waterproof gaiter, the Out Path Pro GTX uses the new Active Support Technology to cleverly support and protect the ankle while trekking on tricky terrain. Fully waterproof, thanks to a water resistant, seamless synthetic textile upper and a breathable Gore-Tex lining, this is a 4-season boot with a high traction Contagrip sole for plenty of grip on rainy days.

WHEN TO WEAR IT

Versatile, thanks to its combination of a lightweight design and great support, the Out Path Pro is a multisport boot well suited to use throughout the year, whether you’re hiking, trail running, mountain biking or backpacking. If you like to be out exploring new and untrodden ground or you just want a little more support from your walking shoe, then this is the perfect choice for you.
