Waterproofing also plays a key part to what to look out for in a mens ski pant; depending on what you're doing will then depend of the level of waterproofing you will need. If you are just hitting the slopes for the first time just a standard pair with DWR (durable water resistance) will be fine but if you're hitting the back country then a ski pant with Gore-Tex will be needed, the breathability factor also plays a key part in waterproofing as well, if you're a fast mover or a 'hot' person then a mens ski pant without a membrane liner will be a better choice for you, just from the breathability factor.

The last thing to look at when it comes to picking a pair of mens ski pants are the features on them, you will need to think about what features you need like boot gaiters, articulated knees, scuff guards and even as simple as waist adjustment.
