FREE POSTAGE IS ONLY AVAILABLE ON STANDARD DELIVERY TO UK MAINLAND ADDRESSES.

Christmas Delivery Deadlines

To be guaranteed delivery for Christmas our couriers have given us the following deadlines for UK customers:

Standard Delivery is available until 3pm on December 20th for delivery before Christmas.

Next Working Day Delivery is available until 3pm on December 21st for delivery before Christmas.

You can purchase from our Faversham store right up until 4.00pm on the 24th of December.


What are the UK delivery options?

Standard Delivery - Free tracked delivery on orders over £50

  • 2-4 working days. £3.95 for orders under £50
  • Despatch and delivery is between Monday and Friday (excluding public holidays). Order before 3pm during this time and we'll aim to despatch your order the same day
  • Free standard delivery applies to UK mainland addresses only
  • £50 is the value of the goods after promotional deductions i.e. 10% discount code

Next Working Day - £6.95

  • Despatch and delivery is between Monday and Friday (excluding public holidays)
  • Orders must be placed before 3:00pm Monday to Friday to be despatched on the same day and delivered on the next working day
  • UK mainland addresses only. Service unavailable in remote locations such as parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland

Saturday delivery - £15

  • Orders must be placed before 3:00pm Friday to be delivered Saturday
  • Orders placed after 3:00pm will be held for delivery the following Saturday
  • UK mainland addresses only. Service unavailable in remote locations such as parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland

Collect From Our Faversham Store – Free

What are your despatching hours?

We despatch Monday - Friday from 8.00am to 4.30pm. Next Working Day orders must be placed by 3pm Monday  - Friday to be despatched that day.

 



What are my delivery options outside the UK and how much do they cost?

We offer two levels of service depending on how quickly you need your order delivered. Standard Standard International method is suitable for all orders to be shipped outside the United Kingdom. We use Royal Mail International, DPD International (part of the Geopost group) and ParcelForce Worldwide, delivery takes 3-31 days from despatch dependent on location. Shipping prices are calculated on the size and volumetric weight of the parcel. Express This shipping method is suitable for all orders to be shipped outside the United Kingdom. Express takes 1-4 days for delivery from despatch, dependant on location. Shipping prices are calculated on the size and volumetric weight of the goods contained in the parcel

 



When will you despatch my order?

All orders will be shipped as soon as all the items are available - subject to payment authorisation. Where items on your order are out of stock the order will ship once all of the orders components become available. If you would rather not wait for the remainder to come in to stock, we advise that you place a separate order for these items. Please note: At exceptionally busy times like Christmas or in periods of adverse weather conditions deliveries may be delayed by a day or two beyond normal timescales quoted. At these times we cannot guarantee next day delivery when selected.

 



Can I use an alternative delivery address?

If you would like us to ship to an alternative address rather than your registered billing address, simply tick the box (during checking out) and complete the address details. Please Note. The Billing address must be the address your payment card is registered to. PO Box addresses may not be accepted. Unfortunately for PayPal customers we can only ship to your PayPal registered addresses. This restriction is a fraud prevention measure issued by PayPal and is beyond our control, sorry.

 



Can I Track My Delivery?

Yes, when we despatch your order we will email you with the tracking details. Tracking details may not appear or update on the carrier's web site until the parcel has been scanned into their network on the evening of despatch.

 



I've missed my delivery

For Royal Mail parcels which have been attempted to be delivered and returned back to the customer’s local Royal Mail collection office. The Royal Mail collection depot must be contacted/visited by the customer’s themselves providing proof of id and calling card. This is the customer’s responsibility to check if parcel being held at their depot, and to arrange to collect the goods.

For orders despatched via a courier, the courier will contact you via SMS or Email (if you provided details) with in flight and re-delivery options.

 



Will I need to sign for my delivery?

We use a variety of Royal Mail, DPD and ParcelForce services for deliveries in the UK, some of these services may require proof of delivery. Some international shipments may also require a signature as proof of delivery.

 



Overseas Orders, VAT and Import Duties

If your delivery country is inside the European Union then your order will be subject to VAT (Value Added Tax) at the current rate. Unfortunately goods purchased by mail order, including internet sales, are excluded from the Government’s tax free shopping scheme. We are therefore unable to provide a VAT 407 reclaim form for goods delivered within the EU that you intend to export. For more information please visit https://www.gov.uk/tax-on-shopping/taxfree-shopping For exports to countries outside the EU although these are exempt from VAT you may be required to pay import duties by your government, you will be notified by the courier that delivers your goods if this is the case. Some countries (including but not limited to Norway, Switzerland and Turkey) do not impose import duties on products shipped from the EU, however in some cases you may be required to pay a local sales tax; you will be notified by the courier that delivers your goods if this is the case.

BFPO

We are more than happy to ship orders via the BFPO mail system, in fact we are registered with the British Forces Post Office commercial contracts list and approved for sending items using the BFPO mail system.

When placing your order, remember to use your BFPO Postcode in the delivery address to ensure we can connect it to the BFPO mail system as quickly as possible. You can look up your BFPO location postcode here if you are unsure.

Please be aware that due to the nature of the BFPO, certain items we sell may be restricted or prohibited for delivery via the BPFO and ParcelForce networks. By requesting delivery to a BFPO address you confirm acceptance of the BFPO’s terms of use and confirm the items are accepted for your destination.

VAT Refunds for BFPO addresses

To request a VAT refund for goods delivered to BFPO addresses outside the EC Single Market, please email us once your order has been despatched at hello@simplyhike.co.uk. Don’t forget to include your order number, VAT reclaims must be made within 3 month of supply. Address validation will be based on the current BFPO locations list.

BFPO addresses within the EC Single Market

In order to process VAT reclaim requests for goods delivered to BFPO addresses within the EC Single Market, please provide a ‘certificate of entitlement’ as set out in HMRC Notice 725 section 14, paragraph 14.4 & 14.6. We cannot process VAT reclaims for deliveries within the EC Single Market without this certificate. Please email a PDF of the certificate along with your order number to hello@simplyhike.co.uk, reclaims must be made within 3 months of supply.



Missing or Damaged Delivery?

If your goods have either been received as damaged or are missing please contact Customer Care immediately, either by email hello@simplyhike.co.uk or by calling us on 0844 567 7072. If the goods are damaged we will need a proof of the damage, either by the item being returned to us, or in some cases an image sent via email. Customer Care they can advise you on the best course of action. Once we have verified the damage we can then rectify the situation. If your UK delivery is delayed in transit we are required to wait 5 days  before we can claim and resend your order. If you are an overseas customer we have to wait up to a maximum of 30 days from despatch, after this period has passed we can re-send the goods.

Top
