A ski resort is offering something adventurous for music enthusiasts - a classical music festival featuring several internationally renowned artists.
The Classicaval Festival of Music will be held at the baroque church of Saint Bernard de Menthon in the Alpine village of Val d'Isère in France in two stages - one part to be performed from January 18-20 and the second to run from March 15-17.
Venice's Palazzetto Bru Zane is also partnering with organisers of the Classicaval Festival under the direction of Anne-Lise Gastaldi, whose involvement with the festival dates back several years
Michel Lethiec, one of the world's greatest clarinettists, will perform as the guest of honour for the closing ceremony in March. Frederic Lagarde, believed to be one of France's most talented pianists, will be the artistic director for the opus.
The ski resort is also offering a special scheme of a seven-night stay in a studio for four people, including a six-day Espace Killy ski pass and entry to the pool at the new Oxygen Sports Centre from January 15-22 next year at a starting price of £250 per person.
